Cebu IT Park Gossip Chronicle Volume 1 Issue 66
Cebu IT Park has entered its soft-launch era of emotional chaos, mga ka-marites. The breeze feels greener, the office lanyards look more dramatic, and every iced coffee is apparently a legal document now. With talk of new uptown green spaces floating through the city, our fictional night-shift sweethearts and lunch-break legends have decided that every bench, planter, mall corridor, and food-stall table is now a stage.
As always, the Chronicle reminds readers: these are invented characters, invented incidents, and purely entertainment chismis set against familiar public backdrops. No real employees, no real private people, no real accusations — just Cebu IT Park energy wearing lip gloss and carrying a receipt.
The Garden Bloc “Accidental” Walk That Had Four Witnesses
At Garden Bloc, a fictional pair known only as “Mika” and “J.R.” were allegedly seen taking the longest possible route between two places that are, scientifically speaking, not far apart. Our pavement-level sources say the two began near a coffee spot, circled past greenery, paused near a planter, checked one phone together, laughed too quietly, then suddenly pretended to be discussing weather.
Weather? In this economy?
The twist: “Mika” reportedly wore the same silver bracelet that appeared last week beside an anonymous dessert plate at Ayala Malls Central Bloc. “J.R.” carried a paper bag that looked suspiciously empty, which is either a sign of a completed errand or a man carrying evidence without knowing what evidence means.
A friend named “Tess” allegedly watched from a respectful distance while pretending to compare milk tea menus. She later declared, “If that was not a date, then my lunch break is a government summit.”
No confirmation, no denial. Just two people walking in circles while the greenery minded its business harder than the witnesses did.
The Central Bloc Extra-Fries Treaty
Over at Ayala Malls Central Bloc, the buffalo-sauce diplomacy that has haunted this column for weeks may have entered a dangerous new phase: shared fries.
A fictional office Romeo named “Cal” was allegedly spotted ordering a meal with extra fries, two dips, and the confidence of someone who thought nobody from his floor would be there. Unfortunately for “Cal,” Cebu IT Park runs on coffee, Wi-Fi, and accidental surveillance by coworkers who were “just passing by.”
Across from him sat “Raine,” who has become famous in our invented universe for never touching fries unless the emotional stakes are high. Witnesses say she took one fry, dipped it in the wrong sauce, and smiled anyway. Readers, that is not a snack. That is a plot development.
The real drama arrived when “Cal” slid the second dip cup closer to her side of the table. Nearby, “Benny,” a fictional teammate with the soul of a barangay announcer, reportedly whispered, “The sauce has changed ownership.”
Could this be reconciliation after last issue’s dessert receipt confusion? Or merely two hungry people doing carbohydrate logistics? The Chronicle cannot prove romance, but we can confirm the fries were behaving like supporting characters.
The eBloc Elevator Pause Returns With New Buttons
In eBloc Tower territory, the famous elevator pause has allegedly returned, and this time it brought accessories.
Our fictional source “Nina from nowhere in particular” says a mysterious bouquet delivery appeared in a lobby area with no full name, only a first initial and a handwritten note that said, “For later, not for office.” Dramatic? Yes. Operationally confusing? Also yes.
Around the same hour, “Dane,” a night-shift supervisor in our fully imaginary call-center universe, reportedly entered an elevator with “Lia,” the woman many readers remember from the great umbrella incident of Issue 65. The ride should have lasted seconds. According to three separate fictional observers, it felt like a season finale.
No one spoke at first. Then “Lia” allegedly asked, “Did you send it?”
“Dane” reportedly answered, “Depends which it.”
Mga higala, that is not communication. That is a cliffhanger wearing an ID badge.
By the time the doors opened, one witness claims “Lia” was smiling, “Dane” was holding his phone upside down, and the bouquet was still unclaimed. We cannot confirm who sent the flowers, but we can confirm that every elevator button in the vicinity now feels emotionally involved.
Sugbo Mercado Chair Custody Gets a New Plaintiff
At Sugbo Mercado, the long-running chair custody saga has escalated again. Last night’s fictional food-court drama involved “Pao,” “Cherry,” and a plastic chair that apparently has more romantic history than half of IT Park.
According to witnesses, “Pao” arrived early and placed a folded jacket over a chair to reserve it. Minutes later, “Cherry” arrived with two drinks, looked at the jacket, looked at the chair, then reportedly said, “So he still thinks fabric is commitment.”
The statement caused nearby diners to chew slower.
The issue became more complicated when “Milo,” a cheerful chaos agent from a nearby table, allegedly asked if the chair was “single.” This joke was poorly received by everyone except “Milo,” who laughed like he had just disrupted a board meeting.
Eventually, “Pao” returned with barbecue skewers and discovered “Cherry” sitting in the reserved chair while the jacket occupied a different one. No shouting occurred. No scandal erupted. But “Cherry” reportedly handed him one drink and said, “You may visit the chair on weekends.”
Readers, custody arrangements have been built on less.
Stay Tuned
Will the Garden Bloc walkers admit the scenic route was not about scenery? Will Central Bloc’s second dip become the official symbol of peace? Who sent the eBloc bouquet, and why did the note sound like it needed its own HR file? Can a Sugbo Mercado chair survive another week of emotional litigation?
Stay tuned, Cebu IT Park. The green spaces may be getting smarter, the towers may be getting shinier, but the gossip remains proudly analog: overheard, overanalyzed, and served with extra sauce.
