Sauce diplomacy, elevator side-eyes, and one bouquet with suspicious timing

Issue 60 Intro: The Night Shift Moon Is Fully Booked

Cebu IT Park, our glowing little theater of iced coffee confessions and badge-lanyard heartbreak, has entered another episode of after-hours drama. The towers are bright, the food stalls are steaming, the lobby sofas are pretending not to know anything, and the group chats are once again doing more cardio than the people walking around Garden Bloc.

This week’s whispers come with extra background sparkle: reopened snack spots, mall chatter still humming from recent safety talk, and everyone suddenly acting like they personally invented “being careful” while still sending risky 2:13 a.m. messages. As always, all names are fake, all drama is fictional, and any resemblance to your officemate who says “last na jud” before ordering dessert is purely Cebu coincidence.

The Buffalo Sauce Peace Treaty Gets a Side-Eye

At Ayala Malls Central Bloc, a fictional duo we shall call “Mika” and “Drei” were spotted performing what witnesses described as “the most diplomatic wing-sharing ceremony since the last breakup that wasn’t a breakup.” The table reportedly began with two baskets, three sauces, and one dangerously neutral phrase: “Order whatever you want.”

Dear readers, that phrase is never neutral.

According to our imaginary sauce correspondents, “Mika” chose the mild option, while “Drei” went bold, spicy, and suspiciously performative. The tension rose when “Drei” slid a napkin across the table like a peace document and said, “For the record, I never said I didn’t miss you.”

A nearby fictional friend, “Bea-with-the-Bangs,” allegedly froze mid-fries. The sauce was not the only thing thick in the air.

The twist? “Mika” did not accept the napkin. She folded it, placed it under her drink, and replied, “For the record, you posted that story for somebody.” Somewhere between the blue cheese dip and the last wing, a truce was declared but not signed. Sources say both parties left together, then walked three feet apart like diplomats after a failed summit.

The eBloc Elevator That Refused to Mind Its Business

Over at the eBloc towers, another fictional installment of elevator suspense unfolded when “Jaz,” “Nico,” and a bouquet wrapped in beige paper all entered the same lift within a thirty-second window. Coincidence? In Cebu IT Park? Please. Even the elevator buttons were allegedly blinking with judgment.

“Nico,” known in our fictional files as the man who says “busy ka?” when he means “I am emotionally unprepared,” reportedly held the bouquet low, as if hiding flowers in an elevator with mirrored walls has ever worked for anyone.

“Jaz” noticed. Of course she noticed. Cebu notices. Cebu has noticed things before they happen.

When the doors opened, a third passenger, “Tantan,” accidentally asked, “Uy, for who?” with the innocent violence of someone who does not understand that one question can detonate three weeks of soft-launch strategy.

The bouquet destination remains officially unknown. However, our fictional lobby-level analyst observed that “Nico” exited one floor too early, walked toward the wrong hallway, then pretended to check a delivery app. That, dear readers, is not logistics. That is panic wearing office shoes.

By midnight, two versions of the story were circulating: one says the flowers were an apology, another says they were a pre-apology for something not yet discovered. We respect both theories equally.

Sugbo Mercado’s Receipt With a Secret Initial

At Sugbo Mercado, the smoke, skewers, and late-night hunger created the perfect backdrop for a receipt scandal so small it could fit in a wallet but so loud it could wake an entire team chat.

A fictional night-shift regular named “Lala” allegedly found a receipt tucked inside a paper bag with one handwritten initial: “R.” No surname. No context. Just “R,” surrounded by the quiet arrogance of mystery.

Her friends immediately formed a committee beside the drinks stall. Was “R” an admirer? A vendor? A cashier? A person from the past? A person from the next table pretending not to listen? One friend, “Kimmy,” reportedly suggested it might stand for “refund,” which was rejected by the group for being too practical and not emotionally useful.

Minutes later, “Lala” received a message from a number saved only as “Do Not Reply Again.” The message said: “Did you get dinner?”

Readers, dinner was not the question.

The fictional committee split into two camps. Camp One believes “R” is a redeemed ex trying to re-enter through barbecue. Camp Two believes “R” is a new admirer using stationery-based strategy. Camp Three, which is just “Kimmy,” still thinks it was about the receipt printer.

As of press time, “Lala” has not replied, but she did post a photo of the food with the caption “Some people know my order.” That is not a caption. That is a flare.

The Condo Lobby Lily Blooms Again

At a nearby condo lobby, the long-running lily saga has returned with the dramatic stamina of a teleserye villain. A single white lily appeared beside the reception desk, this time with a note that read: “No pressure. Just proof.”

Proof of what? We screamed quietly.

The fictional recipient, “Ari,” has been connected to three previous flower-adjacent episodes, one umbrella custody dispute, and an unresolved coffee cup with a lipstick mark nobody has claimed. This newest lily arrived during the early evening rush, just as residents were floating between ride-hailing apps, parcel pickups, and pretending they did not see each other after matching online.

Witnesses say “Ari” stared at the note for twelve seconds, which is either nothing or the exact length of a life decision. Then she took the lily, removed the card, and slipped the note into her phone case.

That, dear readers, is not disposal. That is archiving.

A fictional lobby auntie, “Tita Pearl,” allegedly whispered, “This one has history,” while arranging magazines that nobody reads but everyone uses as emotional cover.

Stay Tuned

Will the sauce treaty survive the next spicy order? Will the eBloc bouquet find its real floor? Will “R” reveal whether he is romance, refund, or reckless nostalgia? And will the condo lobby lily finally expose the sender who keeps treating reception like a flower-powered confession booth?

Stay tuned, Cebu IT Park. The lights are on, the elevators are listening, and Issue 61 is already checking its unread messages.
